Headlines scream – “Sarah Palin: Marijuana is a ‘minimal problem…’ I think we need to prioritize our law enforcement efforts…cops should be looking to engage in and try to clean up some of the other problems that we have in society” – approximately two minutes of a twenty-two minute video was devoted to the discussion of marijuana yet this marijuana statement carried more weight than anything else discussed.

There are so many contradictions in this conversation that I did not even know where to start breaking it down. Government can not protect individuals from themselves when it comes to marijuana/drugs but government has the right to tell a women not to have an abortion.

The right to bear arms is an individual right, yet innocent people are dying on the streets of America daily by not instituting any level of gun control that actually works – in essence it is ok to kill people but illegal to kill a fetus.

This video talks about war, government involvement in big business, excessive spending, the Obama Administration and as you listen, contradictions abound. Obama has been in office for a year and a half – these problems started years before he even decided to run but the consensus in the video states the Tea Party movement is an effort to get America back on the “right track” – Is that “back” on the right track that led us to economic ruin – to include the worse oil spill in American history.

Is that the track that had us with no viable options other than to bail out numerous big businesses who in turn paid out enormous bonuses to primary staff of their failing companies as though they did a good job and deserved this “reward.”

Is Israel really our ally when they refuse rational conversations in an effort to alleviate the negativity that flows between themselves and Gaza – creating animosity throughout the world in certain communities towards the United States for partnering with Israel in their outrageous demands on Gaza?

It feels more like they are abusing the knowledge that we, as Americans, have become dependent on the natural resources that area provides to us and with this knowledge a certain level of arrogance has taken over rational thoughts of “getting along” – they want to run the show putting the United States in the middle of their aggressive nature. Furthermore, nine years of warring in Afghanistan and what has been accomplished there.

Yet to hear this conversation, a show of force is always the only answer where peace is concerned – the biggest contradiction of them all as we hold up Iraq and Afghanistan as proof that this theory works as the violence increases and lives are lost.

And that's the way I see it!!
